Amana (“the app”) is a focus tool that blocks apps you choose. This policy explains, plainly, what stays on your device, what syncs to your account, and how the optional Stakes Mode handles payment. We show no ads, use no analytics or advertising SDKs, and never sell or share your data.
Amana uses an account (email and password) so your Safe Zones and tags are tied to you and can back up and restore across your devices. Authentication is handled by our server. We do not use your email for marketing.
So your setup survives a new phone, the following is stored on our server, linked to your account:
Your on-device usage stats are not uploaded (see below).
The app stores the following locally, in its own private storage, readable only by the app:
Uninstalling the app removes the local copy; deleting your account removes the synced copy.
Stakes Mode is off by default and separate from the free blocker. If you turn it on, it is the only part of Amana that involves money. Payment is processed by Stripe; your card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored on our servers. To run Stakes, our server stores your commitments (the stake amounts and dates you set) and periodic device “heartbeats” that confirm the app is still alive, so you are only ever charged fairly. You can review this in the app before opting in.
These permissions are used solely to run the blocker on your device. None is used to gather information about you or to read your screen content.
Amana is a general-purpose focus tool and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
